Creating a controller worthy of the MKII name is no small task, yet the Rane One MKII more than earns its place in this celebrated DJ lineage. Leveraging modern advances in audio processing, it reaches bold new heights of live performance potential. At the heart of this leap forward are its Stem controls. Five dedicated stem-performance modes unlock a versatile tool kit of transformative effects, remixes, transitions, loops, and more, all with isolated access to Vocal, Melody, Bass, and Drum elements. The Real advantages

Acapella and Instrumental buttons: Next to each deck, you’ll find dedicated Acapella and Instrumental buttons, each of which let you instantly isolate the respective part on each deck, perfect for transitions and in-the-moment crowd work.

Stems Level controls: The controller’s 3-band EQ pulls double duty as a deck-specific stem mixer, with High-, Mid-, and Low-band EQ controls capable of adjusting levels for Vocal, Melody, and Drum stems, respectively, to fine-tune your visionary sonic collages.

Stems Pad mode: As one of multiple onboard pad modes, this splits each deck’s eight pads into two rows of stem controls — the top four pads mute a stem, while the four below apply FX of your choice, letting you texturize with unmatched precision.

Stems Roll Pad mode: This powerful take on the Roll loop-building tool enables detailed looping of user-selectable sizes, with a stem-influenced twist of deciding which stems get included in the loop, and the duration of each.

Stems FX Pad mode: Like Stems Roll Pad mode, this mode transforms your stems with the power of the One MKII’s onboard effects engine, applying Echo Out, Roll Out, Brake, and Delay FX to one or multiple stems of your choosing.

Polychromic performance-pad pliability

Eagle-eyed users of the first-gen Rane One will immediately notice a key change: the MKII swaps the former deck-mounted touch strips for dedicated buttons that select from multiple pad performance modes. Sweetwater users find this upgrade not only improves tactility and ergonomics, but also unlocks a powerful new capability: simultaneous pad modes. Now, you can activate up to three modes per deck, splitting the pads to enable multidimensional mixing with unprecedented complexity. What’s more, these pads give you another hands-on gateway for blending Vocal, Melody, Bass, and Drum stems directly into your set.

Uncompromising hands-on detail and satisfying tactility

DJs deploying the OG One controller lauded Rane for its inclusion of a Mag Four XF crossfader — an industry standard. Rane heard the calls for expanding this level of nuanced, customizable tactility and answered with dual Precision Feel vertical faders. Like the Mag Four, Precision Feel up faders feature a completely tension-adjustable design, allowing you to hone your tactility to meet your hands-on mixing needs. What’s more, the first- and second-channel up faders’ shift-functions adjust Stem Level values, meaning the detailed tactility of the Precision Feel engineering goes that much further. Additionally, the Rane One MKII introduces a dedicated volume knob for the controller’s Sampler suite to the front panel, joining the adjustable Crossfader Contour and Deck Contour controls, alongside toggling deck rotation reversals, as well as managing Level and 2-band EQ fine-tuning of the two microphone inputs and dual-stereo RCA Aux input.
