Most notably is the use of authentic vinyl and accompanying slipmats, providing the satisfying tactility and performance sensitivity experienced with classic turntables.
Timeless vinyl feel
While most DJ controllers provide a hefty degree of control in how you interface with the music you’re spinning, the DJControl Inpulse T7 takes things a step further, opting to include authentic, felt slipmats, as well as two 7-inch replica vinyl records. This gives you all the tactile satisfaction of old-school performance with all the benefits of contemporary technology, utilizing the record’s label or the jog wheel’s textured outer ring to spin, back-cue, and juggle away. It’s fantastic for practicing, too, with the label’s design serving as a quick indicator for changes in tempo as you feel the groove move, while simple touch detection lets you play or pause by resting your fingers on the record. Moreover, the 3.9-inch tempo faders are the exact same size as those found on vinyl turntables used by DJs around the world.
Complete control
Each deck features its own VU meter for dependable, real-time feedback, coupled with a master output meter to manage your mix as you shape and sculpt with each deck’s 3-band EQ, gain control, and multimode filter. Both headphone outputs have their own volume adjustments, with one-click control for toggling headphone playback for both channels, as well as the master output. The highly-responsive crossfader is centrally located with a 3-way toggle to manage the crossfade profile, tailored to meet your beat-juggling needs.
Looping controls are available on each deck, complete with autoloop functions and a clearly labeled management points. Assignable hot cue buttons make easy work of complex showmanship tools, while eight performance modes are activated by the vibrant, RGB-backlit performance pads, ensuring plenty of variety and flavor for your set. Your FX rack features three buttons for each deck, accompanied by sturdy paddles for instantaneous or continuous implementation of effects, with further control for depth and tempo easily accessible.
Packaged with DJUCED and Serato licenses
Out of the box, your DJControl Inpulse T7 features a complete license for DJUCED, as well as Serato DJ Lite, for those looking to move in that direction. Serato DJ Pro users will find a few new features unlock with use, too, like a 45RPM mode. Each DJUCED license includes uninhibited access to the full suite of DJUCED performance and educational features, including the beatmatch guide, toggled from the controller to use the lights positioned with each tempo slider to help you learn how to synchronize tracks manually. Simultaneously, the “beat align” lights located beneath the platters provide real-time feedback for positioning tracks relative to one another, in addition to tempo synchronization. You’ll also be able to dive straight into DJ Academy, a video series that breaks down everything from the fundamentals to the high-profile performance tricks. Plus, hearty navigation knobs make traversing your performance software of choice a painless experience.
