The Stagg SBF-40 NAT FL brings the sonic freedom of a fretless fingerboard to the Fusion series. It maintains the same solid ash body and bolt-on hard maple neck design as its fretted counterpart, delivering sustain and resonance while removing fret boundaries for sliding transitions and microtonal expression. The fretboard is smooth rosewood (no frets), paired with the conventional dual-pickup setup (JB at neck + MM humbucker at bridge) to allow a wide tonal palette. Controls include two separate volume knobs and one master tone knob, enabling blending and shaping of warm neck tones and punchy bridge output. Chrome die-cast machine heads and individual saddle bridge hardware provide stable tuning and precise adjustment.
