The Stagg EDB 3/4 electric double bass is designed for bass guitarist wanting to experiment with an upright bass or for double bass players that require an instrument to practice on or have a bass that is much easier to transport than the standard acoustic model. The Stagg EDB has a solid maple body and provides the player with a rich bass tone and an instrument that is responsive for both pizzicato and arco (with bow) playing way beyond what the price point of the instrument may suggest. The Piezo pick up and preamp enables the player to plug direct into an amplifier and the headphone input allows the player to play as long and as late as they want without disturbing anyone else in the house! The CD/MP3 input enables the player to play along with their favourite pieces of music or jam along to backing tracks.
