M-audio Micro DAC audiocard

The Micro DAC from M-Audio is a USB digital-to-analog (DAC) converter with two outputs—one analog and one digital. Taking the form of a slim USB stick, the Micro DAC plugs right into your computer or laptop, and, once there, transforms your digital signal into audio of a higher quality than a typical headphone jack. With the Micro DAC, you plug your headphones into the port on the side; for high-impedance headphones, you can flip a gain switch to boost the analog signal, thereby driving the volume to higher levels. An optical output can transfer pure digital signal from the Micro DAC to other digital sources.
