This powerful control surface includes a console-quality, 100mm motorized fader, dual high-resolution displays, soft-feel rubber keys, and a weighted jog wheel, all encased in an ultra-tough metal chassis. The UF1 gives you complete hands-on control over your DAW's pans, sends, plug-ins, and more. Moreover, you can customize 46 soft keys to conform to your workflow. With the UF1, you get it all: intuitive DAW control and insightful visual feedback. The UF1 offers a level of physical control you'll rarely — if ever — find in a control surface of this size.

SSL Meter plug-in and SSL 360-degree integration

In addition to supplying you with comprehensive DAW control, the UF1 also comes with a perpetual license for the SSL Meter plug-in. This ultra-useful plug-in includes a whole host of essential tools, such as peak, RMS, and K-System metering, along with a stereo balance meter, a phase correlation bar, a Lissajous phase scope, a 31-band RTA, and VU and PPM metering. But that's not all — you can visualize the Meter plug-in directly on the UF1's 4.3-inch display, and it can be controlled directly from the unit. The UF1 also boasts lock-tight SSL 360-degree integration, allowing you to take tactile command of 360°-enabled SSL plug-ins like Channel Strip 2 and 4 KB directly from the unit. Moreover, you can view your plug-in's EQ curve right on the UF1's display.

Control everything — all at once

We're blown away by the Solid State Logic UF1 here at Sweetwater. For starters, you can control up to three DAWs — simultaneously. And, since it includes HUI and MCU profiles for Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Ableton Live, LUNA, and Pyramix, we found we were able to use it with any session we tossed its way. This unit's transport controls and jog wheel make moving around large sessions fast and easy. Its motorized fader offers precise control for writing automation and fine-tuning track volumes during sessions. A multipurpose notched encoder makes channel banking and mouse wheel emulation a cinch. You also get customizable secondary transport keys for adding your own personal workflow shortcuts. The UF1's dual high-resolution displays give you at-a-glance feedback of your DAW's track names, parameters, and time display, along with the SSL Meter plug-in and 360-degree-enabled channel strips, with the plug-in's EQ curve shown on the large display. You can also view gate and compression activity on the smaller display.
