New functions for forging distinctive rhythmic effects

It may be small, but the Roland VP-03 Vocoder has functionality that the original VP-330 lacked. At Sweetwater, we've produced intriguing patterns with the VP-03's onboard Voice Step Sequencer. Input a single note, chord, or voice into each of the sequencer's 16 steps (with each step comprising up to six notes), and enjoy unparalleled dynamic motion. Generate unpredictable results by changing the order of steps within your sequence. Play back chords with the touch of a single finger with the VP-03's Chord Memory function. Quickly store and recall up to 16 locations using one of the 16 step buttons. And whether you create sequences or build chords, you can back them up to your computer via USB.

Chock-full of connectivity for easy integration

The Roland VP-03 Vocoder integrates with just about everything. Line and headphone outputs make monitoring and amplifying the VP-03 as easy as pie. Employ the full-size XLR microphone input and included gooseneck mic to input your voice for filtering and shaping the onboard synthesized sounds. MIDI In/Out ports and a Micro-B USB connector open up whole new worlds of digital control. You can also utilize the VP-03's USB port to record directly into your DAW, transforming your vocoder into a quality audio interface.

Battery or USB power for the ultimate in portability

Integrating with your other gear is great, but what if you're away from your studio? Not a problem. The Roland VP-03 Vocoder is completely portable. It not only runs on four AA batteries, but it also operates on USB power. At a super-light 33 ounces, VP-03 is ready to go wherever you go.

Add an optional K-25m 25-note keyboard to take your music to the next level

The VP-03 Vocoder is part of Roland's Boutique Series, and thus works well with the K-25m keyboard unit. Sold separately, this 25-note, velocity-sensing keyboard is less than 12" across and is an ultra-portable input solution that also acts as a dock for the VP-03. Once positioned, you have a choice of tilting the module at two different angles for easier viewing and sound programming or having it lie flat. The Roland K-25m addresses a pitch range of -4 to +5 octaves when teamed up with your VP-03.
